Shelly Bartek Selected As 2008 Omaha Summer Arts Festival Featured Artist

Shelly Bartek has been selected as the featured artist of the 2008 Omaha Summer Arts Festival. Bartek's illustration, entitled "Summer," will appear on the event's promotional materials including posters, t-shirts, television commercials and web site.

Coming from a Moravian background, Shelly Bartek is known internationally as an award winning impressionistic artist capturing the essence of lifestyles worldwide. Her Illustrative art has been featured on Paramount Pictures TV Series, B&G International Wine labels, Paul Simon's Music Tour, Del Webb Resorts, New York's Bestseller Book Covers, the Wall Street Journal, the United Nations 2006 International Collective Stamp Series and is most recently noted as the Coor's Blue Moon Brewery promotional artist.

Her work has been admired by Private Collectors, Galleries and Shows stretching from Orlando Florida and Scottsdale ,Arizona to Carmel, California. At the early age of 17 she earned 1st Place for the National Scholastics ART Portfolio Contest receiving a Scholarship to Kansas City Art Institute.
