Several downtown streets will be closed to traffic to accommodate the 34th Annual Omaha Summer Arts Festival. In addition, detours and traffic flow changes will be implemented to assist in traffic around the downtown and Old Market areas.
Metro Area Transit bus riders are encouraged to call 341-0800 for more information regarding street closings and bus routes.
The following streets will be closed on the dates listed:
- Farnam Street from 10th to 13th Streets will be closed beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- 11th Street from Farnam Street to the alley half way to Harney Street will be closed beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- 13th Street from Douglas to Harney Streets will be closed beginning Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- Farnam Street, 13th to 15th Streets will be closed Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- 14th Street from Douglas to Harney Streets will be closed beginning Thursday, June 26 at 9:30 a.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
Traffic flow will be changed on the following streets on the dates listed:
- Harney Street from 11th to 15th Streets will become a two-way street beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- Four-way stops will be implemented at 13th and Harney, 14th and Harney, and 15th and Harney Streets beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- Drivers exiting the Landmarks Parking Garage will make a mandatory right turn (westbound) on Harney Streets beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m.
- When traveling west on Harney from the Landmarks Parking Garage, drivers will have to choose between turning left (southbound) at 14th Street or turning right (northbound) at 15th Street beginning Thursday, June 26 at 12 p.m. through Sunday, June 29 at 11:59 p.m. There will be no westbound traffic on Harney Street west of 15th Street during this period.
