Darlys Vande Voort Selected As 2010 Featured Artist

Dar is originally from Pella, Iowa and has been in the metro area for 14 years. She works from her home studio outside of Council Bluffs, Iowa and also from her studio (#315) at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha. She is a member of the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery and teaches private lessons, group workshops, public art projects, and also works with Alzheimers patients and rehabilitation clientele through the arts.

Dar specializes in portrayals and also enjoys various subject matter and mediums. Dar has been incorporating puzzle pieces in her work for 13 years wherever possible and appropriate. She earned inclusion in the Twelfth Edition of the Encyclopedia of Living Artists, has won numerous awards throughout the country, including a showing at the Experimental Aviation Association Museum for a year.

Dar's work is enjoyed by many private and corporate collections nationwide. She welcomes all studio visits.
