I draw modern and biomorphic patterns directly onto sheet steel and cut originals by hand with a plasma cutter. Layers of patterns are then worked until the perfect spatial union is found. The original is photographed and traced into a program to be cut with a hydro-abrasive cutter. I use a grinder to texture the metal with clean, brushed lines. I also use acid and chemical patinas to distress and texture the metal, as well as dyes on the leather elements. Also incorporated are various fabrication and construction techniques including riveting, TIG welding and roller forming.
