My work is done with several methods. I start with wheel thrown, slab constructed, and extruded clay vessels, then decorate them with clay coils and impressed engravings that I’ve made from my drawings. Most pieces are fired 2 or 3 times to approximately 2,000 degrees. I am more concerned with form than function. I approach clay much like a painter would approach canvas. The imagery, color and textures are more important to me than the function.
