I prepare mixtures of color days in advance prior to making glass pieces. Many different layers of color with clear glass are pulled into a long stick called cane, three-quarters of an inch in diameter. It is the cross section of the color bars I make that produce the rings of color applied to the outside of a vase or the inside of a bowl. I use traditional tools and methods used for hundreds of years and apply these methods to my modern creative art glass. I am inspired by everything but nature and science are certainly my foremost inspirations.
